Jeff Machado, an actor from the soap opera “Reis” on Record TV, has been found dead. The body was discovered by the Missing Persons Investigation Department (DDPA) in Rio de Janeiro on Monday (May 22).

According to information from the “G1” website, the remains of the 44-year-old actor were found in a plot of land in Campo Grande, in the western zone of Rio, inside a wooden chest buried and concreted at a depth of two meters.
The family’s lawyer, Jairo Magalhães, confirmed the information to the news portal: “The body was found on Monday in a house in Campo Grande. It has been confirmed since yesterday [May 23], at the end of the day, by the forensic examination of the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, that the body is his. I have just informed the family.”
The news was also posted on Jeff’s official Instagram profile: “It is with great sorrow that we inform you that Jeff was found on May 22, 2023, lifeless. Jefferson was brutally and cold-bloodedly murdered by jealous, malicious people, without any scruples. We will provide further information soon. The Missing Persons Police of RJ did an excellent job! Thank you very much to everyone who helped with every little detail. Let us pray, good thoughts are what Jeff needs now.”
The police have yet to determine the cause of death or the motive behind the crime.
